RSKL’s effort to support Malaysian Flood Victims
States in the East Coast of Malaysia was hit by a one of the worst floods in the country’s history,
destroying thousands of homes, hospitals and businesses leaving many stranded and homeless. To ease the burden of those affected,
RSKL had set up a “Donation Drop-off Centre” for two days to collect necessity items to be sent to East Coast.
Our employees showed tremendous support and together with companies in the Free Industrialized Zone plus additional contribution from RSKL,
we managed to collect over three tons of food, toiletries, mineral water, clothes - among others. Our effort did not stop there.
When the National Blood Bank urged all healthy Malaysians to help increase the critically low blood supply stock at Hospitals in the recent flood-hit states – we responded!
RSKL held a special Blood Donation Drive on 5th January 2015 with the help of Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang. Although no target was set internally,
the hospital aimed at getting 50 pints through the one-day event. As a team, we succeeded in breaking that target with 89 pints! Ten new donors contributed and we cannot thank you enough for your bravery!
We would like to thank everyone who donated and helped with the arrangement for your generosity and we encourage other employees who have never donated before to start.
May our team effort help the families affected by the flood and may we continue to stay united as a team.
